The event, organized by leading ASIC miner manufacturer Bitmain, brought together experts in the fields of cryptocurrency mining and blockchain technology. The summit focused on innovative mining solutions, particularly hydro-mining, to address environmental concerns.

The first day of the summit featured discussions on digital innovation, with keynotes from various industry leaders. Layla Mining, Bitmain’s first ambassador, spoke about expanding mining content in the Arabic market. Representatives from My First Bitcoin, an educational non-profit in El Salvador, shared their Bitcoin Diploma program’s success. AI artist Ting Song discussed the convergence of art and proof-of-work (PoW) technology, while Mike Michelini from the Handshake community highlighted their decentralized naming and certificate authority project. The day concluded with a welcome reception for networking.

The second day marked the official start of WDMS 2024 with an all-day conference, including speeches and panels from government representatives and industry professionals. Bitmain introduced their latest miner, the S21 Pro, with detailed information about its capabilities and cost.

A PoW award ceremony recognized several projects for their contributions to the ecosystem:
