On Saturday, April 8th at 5:00 PM EST, Bubblegum Lightning will host a Kaspa Twitter Space event. Special guest Nicholas Harness will discuss the future of Kaspa and the University Blockchain Alliance (UBA). The event will allow participants to ask questions about UBA’s goals, the integration of universities with blockchain technology, and Kaspa’s role in their development. The first part of the event will provide an overview of UBA, followed by an open Q&A session.

The University Blockchain Alliance started as a collaboration among five small schools in Illinois to support emerging clubs at smaller universities. It now includes over 150 schools across 29 countries and has transitioned to a decentralized autonomous organization. UBA partners with major companies like Solana, NEAR, and Coinbase to offer programs that engage student developers, such as Kaspa U, which aims to build a strong developer community for Kaspa.

Future plans for UBA include workshops, university speaking tours, hackathons, and a conference this fall at Michigan. These events offer networking opportunities and introduce Kaspa to a wider audience.
